We believe that it is God's heart that all people everywhere would surrender their lives to Jesus, and we believe that Jesus Himself, through the Holy Spirit is drawing men, women and children daily to Jesus for the forgiveness of sins and the opportunity to become children of God. We believe the Lord is "drawing near to us" in order to have a relationship that will bring fullness to our life and grant us eternal life.
So it was, while they conversed and reasoned, that Jesus Himself drew near and went with them. Luke 24:15
Study God's Word
We recognize that all scripture is profitable and long to know not only the word but Jesus, Himself on every page. We cling to the word of God as our life source and seek to apply it to every area of our lives. We want God's word to be manifest in us daily.
And beginning at Moses and all the Prophets, He expounded to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning Himself. Luke 24:27
Obeying His Commandments
We trust that when we draw near to God He will draw near to us. At the cross our hearts are changed and our eyes are open to God's great love for us. The impact of this love produces in us a desire to live our lives in obedience to His will and His kingdom.
Now it came to pass as He sat at the table with them, that He took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to them. Then their eyes were opened and they knew Him. Luke 24:30
Sharing Jesus with others
We know that when Jesus changes our lives we will want to share Him with others. It is not enough to live in a right relationship with God but we want to reach others with the same Good News.
And they told about the things that had happened on the road, and how He was known to them in the breaking of the bread. Luke 24:35
